FAKULTNA NEMOCNICA S POLIKLINIKOU F.D. ROOSEVELTA BANSKA BYSTRICA (FDRH BB)
The F.D. Roosevelt Teaching Hospital Banska Bystrica is one of the largest hospitals in Slovakia, operating in a region with 650 thousand inhabitants. It offers complex health care as an endpoint hospital for the catchment area of the Banska Bystrica city, Banska Bystrica Self-Governing region and the entire Slovak Republic providing services for inpatients in 34 specialized departments, 86 outpatient- and 10 specialized centres – among others the liver & transplant unit HEGITO serving the whole country.
Yearly, FDRH serves medical service to as many as half a million patients with around 40 thousand hospitalizations. It counts on about 2 500 employees (from that: 400 physicians, 1 500 other medical staff) and almost 1 000 beds.
FDRH-BB contributes to the recruitment of patients for the clinical study of WP4.

Dr. Lubomir Skladany
Dr. Lubomir Skladany, MD, Ph.D. is a Head at FD Roosevelt University Hospital in Banska Bystrica. He received a medical degree from Comenius University in Bratislava. His research interests are Liver Transplantation, Liver Diseases, Hepatocellular Carcinoma.
